Claire Voss is a French-born ballerina and choreographer whose professional journey has taken her across the globe for over 18 years. She has performed with some of the world's leading ballet companies, including Dortmund Ballet, Zurich Ballet, Finnish National Ballet,

and West Australian Ballet.

Claire has performed a wide range of principal and soloist roles, including The Sugar Plum Fairy (The Nutcracker), The Sylph (La Sylphide), Gamzatti (La Bayadère), Myrtha (Giselle), and Olga (Onegin).

Choreography has always been her most powerful form of expression. Her choreographic vocabulary has been deeply shaped by working and performing work by leading choreographers such as William Forsythe, Johan Inger, Krzysztof Pastor, Hans van Manen, Nils Christe, and Nacho Duato—an experience that has helped her discover her own distinct artistic voice.

In 2018, Claire created her first major work for West Australian Ballet, Simplicity, which premiered in Genesis, toured to the China Shanghai International Arts Festival, and was later reprised for Heartache at Ballet at the Quarry.

Since then, she has choreographed multiple works for West Australian Ballet, as well as In the Arms of Euterpe for WAAPA and Echoes of Tomorrow for the inaugural Ballet Collective Australia showcase at the Sydney Opera House.

Passionate about using the powerful language of ballet to address contemporary issues, Claire is committed to bringing relevance to an art form often underused in exploring the urgent subjects of today.
